Future Sounds
Future Sounds is a Dutch foundation dedicated to bringing classical music to a wider audience through innovative concerts, creative projects, and unconventional performance formats. By exploring new sounds and fresh approaches to programming, Future Sounds creates musical experiences that connect with a broad and diverse public.
A great example of this vision is Dulfer & Witteveen — a duo formed by bassoonist Thomas Dulfer and saxophonist Deborah Witteveen. Both prize-winning musicians and Classic Young Masters Award recipients, they blend a wide range of styles — from Bach and Purcell to Piazzolla — into colorful and accessible performances that are as surprising as they are captivating.
Thomas is together with Deborah the Artistic and business director of Future Sounds.
Lonelinoise
Lonelinoise is a platform for contemporary classical music. We believe in the power of modern music and love exploring as many different ways as possible to convey it. It can be complex, strange, or shocking, but also moving, inspiring, or relevant – we seek the most fitting medium for each piece of music. This also means that Lonelinoise doesn’t have just one identity: like a chameleon, we change colors with every new performance.
In addition to performing music at the highest possible level and with the greatest passion, we search for sharp programming, compelling stories, and presentation forms that serve the music. Since its founding in 2022, Lonelinoise has regularly performed on major stages such as the Concertgebouw and De Doelen, but also in unusual locations like the Frisian mudflats, an old factory, and by a forest lake.
Thomas is the business director of lonelinoise.
